Thanks to Chris Davis for bringing this to my attention.
Some guy over on the Futuremark forums is claiming to have the UK release date and RRP for DOOM 3. To quote:
"UK launch of Doom III pc = 13th August - unlucky for some, lucky for us!
there are two PC skus for Doom III
The version launching in August is a special edition which has an retail price of 45 quid. Seven weeks later the normal PC sku follows, plus the xboxen version."
Well they're saying a Friday which is correct as games in the UK are always released on Fridays. However only releasing the special edition first seems a bit "iffy" to me and at £45 (about 85USD) it's not exactly cheap. Obviously we won't know for sure until Activision or id make an official press release - which can't be too far away.
Also over on Doom3HeadQuarters there is a news post quoting the Norwegian release which, apparently is the same day, Friday the 13th of August.
