A short story over at Shacknews says that an expansion to Doom3 is in the works by a thirdparty developer.
The story also suggests that the highly anticipated Doom3 demo is just weeks away and that a retail patch will be released soon as well. It's also interesting to note that activision is saying that sales for the first week of Doom3 may be the highest ever recorded for a PC game.
