Thanks, Ransom Arceihn, for bringing to my attention at the forums that Gamecloud have their ComicCon report up which includes coverage of the DOOM movie panel report, confirming that the movie will take place on Mars, and it'll have the original demons from the DOOM games.
They also noted that a lot of the monsters won't be create using CGI models, but ratherly the old methods used in movies such as Alien(s), Predator, and the Terminator series, created by Stan Winston Studios.
Gamecloud also had got the chance to view a special 90-minute teaser trailer of the actual DOOM movie, which afterwards they gave a round of applause for. At least it sounds like there's some hope for the DOOM movie.
