Macologist have coherently tied together their interview with Glenda Adams of Aspry Media regarding the DOOM 3 Mac OS X port and its OpenGL rendering paths, their past ported games, their reasons for porting DOOM 3 to the Mac OS X, and so on. Here's a quick snoop from it:
"a) Do you envision Mac Doom 3 performance on equivalent hardware as PC coming to be on par ?
I think in the long term you will see Doom 3 performance on OS X meet and possibly even exceed the performance of the PC. Future OS X updates and Doom 3 updates will continue to make the game perform better on high end Macs."
